I'm no Notes guru, but I know a thing or two about Java...
Has someone told you that the 5 notes.jar and the 6 notes.jar files are
interchangable? I'd assume they are not. At least it seems unlikely
that you can use a 6.x notes.jar file in a Notes 5.x environment. It
seems likely that the 6.x notes.jar expects it's DLL's to have new
entry points that the 5.x DLL's lack. That would explain the error
you are seeing.
